The syrniki plate
Syrniki are Ukrainian cottage-cheese pancakes, golden on the outside and almost soufflé-soft inside. SkaZka serves them with sour cream, honey and seasonal jam — the closest thing to a Kyiv grandmother's kitchen you'll find on the island.
Turkish menemen
Slow-cooked eggs with tomato, green pepper and sucuk, served in the pan with warm bread. A whole different way to think about breakfast. Add a Turkish coffee and don't plan anything for the next hour.
Full breakfast options
For appetite: eggs Benedict, avocado toast, house granola, syrniki with sour cream, breakfast pide with cheese and egg, or a full Slavic plate with cured meats, cheese and dark rye. SkaZka opens at 07:00 — earlier than most.
Coffee to match
See our companion guide to the best coffee in Ubud. In short: order the flat white, then a Turkish coffee for the ritual.
