The menu draws on Russian, Ukrainian and broader Eastern European traditions — pelmeni and golubtsi side by side, borscht in two styles, buckwheat with grilled chicken, syrniki for breakfast, and honey cake that would make a Kyiv grandmother nod.
Why in Ubud?
Ubud has become home to a large Eastern European community — travelers, digital nomads and long-stay residents. SkaZka opened to serve them the food they grew up on, and to introduce those flavors to everyone else.
